RAVENNA, Ohio — A Ravenna man has plead guilty to driving drunk and seriously injuring a Mount Union football player last fall.
Police say Clayton Hull, 20, was driving south on SR 14 near West Branch State Park on November 11th at 12:30 a.m when he was struck by Joshua Frey’s minivan. Hull, a sophomore wide receiver at the time, was driving home from a concert in Cleveland. He was not wearing a seatbelt in the accident and was ejected from the car.
Hull suffered a broken neck in the rollover crash, but has since recovered. Frey, 36, received minor injuries.
The driver, Joshua Frey was charged with a count of vehicular assault and operating a vehicle under the influence.
Frey has yet to be sentenced.
