CLEVELAND, Ohio — The names of several dozen service members killed in action will be added to the Greater Cleveland Veterans Memorial before it is rededicated this summer.

Of the new names being added to the memorial, about three-fourths of them were killed in war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The memorial currently includes the names of more than 5,500 service members from the area from conflicts dating as far back as the Spanish-American War.

A public re-dedication is planned for July 25 to mark the memorial’s 50th anniversary.
