A recently published book says swearing is good for you, and it’s worth passing on to your kids.
Michael Adams, author of “In Praise of Profanity,” says bad words can help foster relationships because they carry risk. He said getting away with cursing can help build trust, the New York Post reports.
The author also suggests making certain words taboo can give them too much power.
He also says it’s important to let kids know that swearing is frowned upon in some parts of society, so know when and where to use profanity.
