(FOX NEWS) – The dog that bit a Colorado news anchor live on TV returned home this weekend.
Max was rescued from an icy pond just one day before appearing on the Denver morning show, when he bit the woman’s face.
The Argentine Mastiff was quarantined at an animal shelter for 10 days because of the incident.
His owners picked him up on Saturday, from a secure area behind the shelter.
“We’re glad to get him back and hopefully get him on track and get him on a road to recovery,” said owner Michael Robinson.
Many people were upset with how Max was treated after the incident.
The anchor had to have facial reconstructive surgery after she was bitten, and is currently recovering at home.
