Devon Still accepts award on behalf of his daughter Leah as she continues to fight for her health

LOS ANGELES – Devon Still, Cincinatti Bengals defensive tackle, accepted the Jimmy V. Perseverance Award on behalf of his daughter Leah, 5,  on Wednesday.

Leah has battled cancer over the last year, her father was even kept on the Bengals practice squad so he would have health insurance during her battle.

LeBron James presented Devon with the award. Leah was unable to attend due to her health, according to ABC News.

“I am here today to let y’all know, as long as I have this platform I’m going to continue to fight for y’all,” he said.

Leah shared her own thank you at the end of Devon’s speech.
