Football hero Dan Marino has confirmed he fathered a love child with a TV production assistant back in 2005.
According to the New York Post, the former NFL quarterback had an affair with Donna Savattere while she worked for CBS Sports, where Marino has been a pregame analyst since 2003.
She gave birth to their daughter, Chloe, in June of 2005.
Marino confessed to the tryst in a statement to The Post earlier this week:
“This is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then. We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved.”
Marino has been married to his wife, Claire, for 28 years. The couple has six children.
