DALLAS – Cuba Gooding Jr. told TMZ that he was upset when he found out one of the officers killed at a Dallas protest had met him a few months ago.

“I cried today when I heard that,” he said on Friday night. “I cried.”

Patrick Zamarripa shared a photo on his Twitter page back in February saying thanks to Gooding Jr. for taking the photo with him and his partner.

Zamarripa was one of 5 officers killed during an attack at a Dallas protest, 7 other officers were injured. The shooting suspect was later killed by police.
