CLEVELAND, Ohio — Police and fire crews have responded to what they said appears to be an explosion at a vacant house on Cleveland’s east side.

There were no reported injuries.

The home is located in the 19800 block of Kildeer Avenue, and the incident happened just after 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Officials say it appears there was an explosion, which then caused a fire in the home. When crews arrived, there was fire in the basement and on the second floor.

The fire was out in about 30 minutes.

A window was broken at the house next door, but that appears to be the extent of the damage to any other nearby homes.

The cause of the explosion and fire is still under investigation.
