WILLOUGHBY, Ohio — Crews responded to a fire at an Andrews Osborne Academy campus building Tuesday started when officials were trying to melt ice.
According to school officials, there had been an ice build-up on the downspout of the building. Officials closed the entrance to the building the last couple of days as a precaution.
Tuesday, when trying to melt the ice with a heating device, the area started smoking.
The building was evacuated.
Firefighters did have the scene under control.
