CLEVELAND (WJW) – People in Cleveland‘s Fairfax neighborhood will soon have a new place to shop and live.

On Tuesday, crews broke ground on a Meijer grocery store to be built at East 105th Street and Cedar Avenue, near the Cleveland Clinic.

The construction also includes a new apartment complex with nearly 200 units.

The $53 million project is part of an effort to revitalize and transform the neighborhood.
