HAMBDEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio-- Three family members suffered minor injuries when their house exploded in Hambden Township on Thursday night.
Lt. John Hiscox with the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office told FOX 8 News the call of an explosion came in at around 9 p.m., then a fire from the explosion was reported.
The fire department said the father was outside the home at the time of the explosion; the mother and two children were inside the home and were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
There is significant damage to the rear of the home on Penniman Drive.
Dominion East Ohio has a crew on the scene to investigate.
