WESTLAKE– Police in Westlake arrested two men in connection with credit card skimming.
Police said the suspects, who were staying at a Westlake hotel, had skimming equipment and were taken into custody Feb. 7.
There have been several reported cases of credit card skimming in the past week, including 20 fraud reports in Broadview Heights.
Police said all the victims still have their credit cards, but the accounts were compromised and used around the country.
The skimmer device was believed to have been attached to an ATM or gas pump, but has not been located yet.
The suspects are being held in the Cuyahoga County Jail.
Police said the case, which could become a federal one, is in the early stages of the investigation.
