Cortland officer suffers heart attack behind the wheel

CORTLAND, Ohio – The Cortland Police Department says Officer Nicholas Mancini’s condition is improving, after he suffered a heart attack behind the wheel.

Police say he lost control of his cruiser Saturday evening and crashed.

No one else was hurt, but police say they had great support from the community.

Officer Mancini has been a full-time officer since 2012, according to the department.

He’s still at the hospital.
