HUNTSBURG, OH – Two corrections officers at Lake Erie Correctional Institute in Conneaut find themselves on the other side of the law today after being arrested in connection with a meth lab.
Geauga County Sheriff’s detectives were conducting a drug investigation in a Huntsburg home when they saw Timothy R. Winters, 27, of Hambden Township, trying to hide a “one pot” meth lab inside of the residence.
After getting a search warrant, detectives found four more “one pot” bottles and arrested Brandon D. Inghram, 24, from Huntsburg and Sarahbelle J. Stafford 27, from Dorset.
Inghram and Winters were charged with manufacturing drugs, and Stafford was charged with complicity to manufacture drugs.
It was later determined that Winters and Stafford are currently employed as corrections officers at the Conneaut facility. All three were arraigned in Chardon Municipal Court.
