Ohio coronavirus numbers: 867 confirmed cases, 15 deaths


COLUMBUS, Ohio– The governor of Ohio held his daily news conference on the coronavirus outbreak at 2 p.m. Thursday.

Gov. Mike DeWine was joined by Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton and Ohio Lt. Gov. Jon Husted. After their briefing, they will answer a few questions from the media.

On Thursday, there were 867 confirmed cases, resulting in 15 deaths. Seventeen percent of the confirmed cases are in health care workers.

Of the 223 people hospitalized with the virus, 91 are in the intensive care unit. Those in the ICU range from 23 years old to 92.
