CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Transportation wants to improve the traffic flow on Interstate 90 near West 25th Street once the innerbelt bridge project is completed, but first, there will be some additional traffic changes and closures for this weekend.
Starting today, Saturday, March 21st at 4 p.m., crews will be closing one lane on I-90 near W25th. Another lane will closed at 7 p.m. Both of those lanes will stay closed until noon tomorrow, Sunday, March 22nd so that traffic can be shifted into different lanes.
The I-90 eastbound exit ramp to W25th will also be closing for about a month. There is no start date for that closure yet, and additional lane and ramp closures are expected as well. ODOT will be sending out details on those detours soon.
All this is in anticipation of the completion of the eastbound bridge. Everything is expected to re-open and traffic will be back to normal when that is finished in late 2016.
