SANDUSKY, Ohio - A community is shaken after a murder-suicide early Sunday morning in Sandusky.
“Calls like that are never easy to do; it's rough on the officers. But then it's also tough on the families that are affected by this; it’s a full circle unfortunately,” said Sandusky Lieutenant Scott Dahlgren.
Angela Tierney, 31, called 911 and when police arrived on the scene, both her and Raphael Greaves, 36, were dead.
She was found just outside the home, while Greaves was in the doorway.
"Initially the call was a physical domestic taking place and unfortunately when officers found a female deceased and a male that was deceased also," Dahlgren added.
According to her cousin, Tierney leaves behind a 9-year-old son.
Erin Maschari, a neighbor, said it is tough to handle situations like this in your own neighborhood, especially with children.
"There was a lot of police. Everything was taped off, a lot of EMS--yeah, real scary,” said Maschari.
Tierney's cousin also started a GoFundMe account for funeral costs and for her son.
Police are still investigating.
