INDIANAPOLIS — Before Cleveland Browns fans could even finish up their goodbyes, the Indianapolis Colts were already saying hello to Trent Richardson.
Richardson said he never expected to be traded and found out when he heard it on the radio Wednesday.
That very night he was on a private plane to his new city.
On Thursday, the Colts used their social media accounts to inform the Colts Nation that Richardson will wear number 34.
The Colts also tweeted pictures of his helmet fitting and let everyone know the jerseys are being made.
The Browns will get the Indianapolis Colts’ first-round selection in the 2014 NFL Draft for the running back.
“The opportunity as an organization was there for us to have a chance to get better, ultimately, and it felt like the right decision overall,” Browns Head Coach Rob Chudzinski said of the deal.
