GARDEN CITY, New York — Former Fox 8 anchor Stacey Bell had a close call while reporting on the Northeast blizzard.
During a live report from Garden City, New York on Monday, a car slid around a corner and appeared to come within a few feet of Bell.
She appeared unfazed by the events, but the anchors in the studio took notice. “I don’t know what just happened there,” one of the anchors said. “Quite a scene behind her,” the other chimed in.
“Honestly, it looked a lot worse on camera,” Bell tweeted. “Reminder for reporters to be safe. Thanks for the concern.”

#maddow Stacey Bell is from Cleveland, Ohio and she is too cool to let a lil snow make her nervous! Glad she is ok!

Bell left Cleveland back in 2011 after 13 years at Fox 8. She is now an anchor and reporter for WNBC in New York.
