CLEVELAND– The city of Cleveland announced a few traffic changes and reminded fans of tailgating rules.
The Browns host the Rams at FirstEnergy Stadium at 8:20 p.m. Sunday.
The Cleveland Municipal Parking Lot will open to vehicle and pedestrian traffic at 2 p.m. Police said are not allowing cars to line up ahead of time on South Marginal Road or the Shoreway.
“When they do that, first of all, you can’t get a fire truck in, if there’s an emergency. You can’t get the police or EMS in, if there’s an emergency. We’re always concerned about that,” Lt. Gordon Holmes said.
At about 6:30 p.m., officers will start shutting down the Shoreway exits and East 9th Street near the stadium.
The city does not allow fire pits or charcoal grills in the muni lot. Officials also encouraged fans to pick up their trash.
“When you come to the muni lot or downtown in general, treat this like you would a city park or if you went camping. Bring garbage receptacles or trash bags, and pick up after yourselves,” Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said.
