PARMA, Ohio -- A popular Cleveland sportscaster was arrested for drunk driving and it wasn't his first time in handcuffs.

Chuck Galeti was arrested early Friday morning, accused of DUI for the fourth time.

Many sports fans recognize sportscaster Chuck Galeti from 'Chuck's Last Call' after Indians games on Sports Time Ohio.  He has also been a sports anchor at several local news stations.

"I've always kind of liked Chuck when I've seen or heard him," said one sports fan.

According to Parma police, around 1:50 a.m., a police officer saw Galeti run a red light at the intersection of Ridge and Pleasant Valley Roads. Police said Galeti did not pull over right away, and when he did, the officer noticed the smell of alcohol and located an open container of alcohol in his vehicle.

"I like the guy's show, he seems to be fairly knowledgeable about sports, but it's unfortunate, hope he does well for himself," said another sports fan.

Fox 8 News was in Berea Municipal Court in 2004 when Galeti was sentenced to 15 days in jail and 55 days under house arrest for drug possession and his third DUI.

"You'll be surprised what people are going through behind the cameras or whatever, so I wouldn't really judge him like that. I'd just wait and get all the facts and everything you know, sometimes people have problems and maybe this time he'll get the help he needs and move on with his life," said a fan.

Galeti failed a field sobriety test and refused to take a breathalyzer inside the police station, according to police.

He is charged with OVI, a misdemeanor charge of fleeing a police officer and not presenting his driver's license to the officer during the traffic stop.

"That's very disappointing to hear, I don't know much about his personal life, but he must have some problems and hopeful he can deal with it. There are solutions to those problems," said another fan.

A spokeswoman for Fox Sports Ohio released a statement saying they are in the process of gathering the facts and they have no further comment at this time.

Fox 8 News tried to reach Galeti, but did not returned our call.

He is currently out of jail on $8,500 bond.
