CLEVELAND – Lola, who is about 3, was rescued not long ago and she was in pretty bad shape.

She was thin, had her two front legs broken and her teeth had been filed down. Rescuers believe she may have been a bait dog.

Lola was found in March by the Stark County Animal Warden. Her left front leg has healed and is usable, but several vets agree that her right front leg will need to be amputated. She is currently on medication to help with her pain and she also has a cart, but struggles to use it.

Vets say Lola is an awesome pit bull who loves attention, people and belly rubs.

Lola does fine with other dogs and the vets haven’t noticed that she is bothered by cats.

Lola’s right leg will not be amputated until she is in a foster home and with someone who can take care of her while she heals.

She is currently staying with a local vet, but she needs a foster home before her surgery and a forever home for life.

Anyone interested in taking in Lola, whether it’s for foster care or permanently, can call 440-442-7297 and get more information at
