CLEVELAND – Cleveland Police were investigating a shooting from Saturday night, and now one of the victims, Ashaundae Cahill, 31, has passed away from the injuries he sustained during the incident back on November 29.

Originally, the case was being investigated as a felonious assault shooting, but will now be a homicide investigation.

The victim, along with a female, were driving in the E. 148th St. and St. Clair Avenue area, when shots were fired from outside their vehicle, according to police.

Cahill was shot in the head, while the female victim was shot in the arm.

The female victim got out of the car, and pushed Cahill out of the driver’s seat and proceeded to a gas station where she called EMS.

Both victims were treated, and the female was released.

The Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office are now taking over the investigation.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Cleveland Division of Police Fifth District Detective Bureau.
