CLEVELAND — A woman is in police custody after allegedly shooting and killing her husband,  Cleveland police said in a news release Saturday.

Officers responded at around 10 a.m. to a home in the 6700 block of Sebert Avenue.  They found 53-year-old Ernest Jackson in the living room with multiple gunshot wounds.  He later died at MetroHealth Medical Center.

Cleveland police say Jackson’s wife, Aviean Compton, 44,  has been arrested. According to police, she handed officers a gun and told them she had shot her husband.
