CLEVELAND (WJW) — Cleveland police are sharing new information about a case involving a 12-year-old boy who was reported missing.

Originally, the child’s mother claimed he was inside her vehicle when it was taken by two men in the area of West 46th and Clark Avenue on Friday.

Police said that same vehicle was later recovered near East 133rd Street around 5 p.m.

Two suspects were arrested on scene. However, the child was nowhere to be found.

It’s since been learned that he was never missing to begin with. He was at home with his father the entire time safe and sound, according to police.

The mother just said that so police would look for her vehicle.
