CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A 9-year-old boy who went missing on the way to school Thursday morning has been located.

Javon Baber -- aka Due -- was found safe at the Dave's Supermarket on Lakeshore Boulevard near East 156th Street at about 3 p.m. Thursday. The Cleveland Division of Police said it appears the boy rode the bus all day and later returned to the grocery store, where his mother works.

He was last seen Thursday morning at the bus stop in the 16700 block of Lakeshore Boulevard and boarded a Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority bus at 8:37 a.m.

Javon was to go to Lakeshore Intergenerational School on Marcella Avenue, but changed buses at Windemere Rapid Station in East Cleveland. He boarded a Healthline bus at 9:49 a.m. and headed toward downtown.

"He actually said he was riding the same bus throughout the day, that he didn't get off and that's something we're not sure if that's the case for sure; we need to investigate further," said Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia with Cleveland police.
