CLEVELAND – The FOX 8 I TEAM has found officers saying they’re working in frigid conditions in two more Cleveland Police district headquarters buildings.

Friday, the head of the police union sent a blistering letter to city hall about no heat in the 2nd District headquarters on the near west side.

Now, pictures show officers in the 5th District on the east side using space heaters brought in from home because the heating system is failing.

Officers say they are wearing layers of clothes inside but are “still freezing.”

The union says it’s hearing the same complaint from officers in the 1st district too.

Yesterday, the union said repairs had been made to the 2nd district boiler, although police there later said it was still cold in the building.

City officials say they are checking into the report of the heating issues at the First and Fifth Districts.   A city spokesman confirmed that the heating was fixed in the Second District over the weekend.
