Cleveland police officer resigns amid allegations of ethics violations

CLEVELAND (WJW) — A Cleveland police officer has resigned amid multiple allegations of ethics violations.

According to a city news release, Patrol Officer Noel Hernandez was suspected of providing law enforcement investigative information to individuals suspected of drug activity.

Prosecutors reviewed the case and determined there was not enough evidence to proceed with criminal charges.

Hernandez had been on the force since 2014 and was assigned to the second district.
