Cleveland Police investigating trio of shootings

CLEVELAND - Cleveland police are on the trail of suspects in three separate shootings from yesterday, July 10 and the overnight hours.

The first shooting was at East 145th and Kinsman, when officers were told that a shooting victim was being taken to the hospital in a private vehicle. They located the vehicle and found 22-year-old Evander Daniels of Cleveland shot in the neck. Daniels had been shot when he was in the area of Liberty Gas Station at E. 145thand Kinsman. The suspect is described as a black male with braids wearing a bright green shirt. Daniels was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center and is listed in stable condition.

Hours later, at about 1:30 a.m., police were in the area of E. 116th & Farringdon when they were flagged down by a 19-year-old male in a blue van who had been shot in the jaw and the left arm. He told police that he was driving near  E. 116 and Union when a gold-colored Mercury stopped next to him and started shooting at him. The victim was taken by ambulance to MetroHealth. His condition is not known at this time.

Then at around 2 a.m., officers were called to an East 149th Street home were a man was reported to have been shot in the leg. He told police that he had been driving on St. Clair near E. 149th when a white, newer model car pulled up next to him and began to fire shots into his vehicle. The 37-year-old victim was also taken to MetroHealth with a gunshot wound and a broken femur.
