CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 15-year-old is in custody for the stabbing death of another teenager.
Cleveland police on Wednesday said they are investigating the stabbing death of a 16-year-old boy.
At 3:25 police were called to Pearl and Gifford for a report of a large fight in progress.
Once on scene, officers found a large group of kids at the Sunoco Gas station at this intersection.
The victim was found on the ground and transported to MetroHealth Medical Center where he passed away.
The 15-year-old suspect claims he was involved in a fight with several people when he used the knife to stab the victim.
He was taken to Fairview Hospital for superficial wounds before being booked into the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center.
Cleveland police said its homicide unit is still investigating.
