CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland police are investigating a bank robbery that happened Saturday around 11:30 a.m.
Police say a man walked into the Key Bank in the 17130 block of Lorain avenue.
He passed a threatening note over the counter, according to information from the FBI. The FBI said the note read, “I have a gun and will shoot you.”
The teller then provided the suspect with money.
Witnesses told the FBI the suspect may have gotten into a white van headed east down a side street.
Officials say the suspect is approximately 5’8″ and has a thin build. He is between 35 and 40-years-old.
This is the same method used in a bank robbery that happened Friday afternoon in Cleveland. It happened just about 2 miles from where Saturday’s crime was committed.
The FBI told FOX 8 it appears the same individual may be responsible for both robberies.
