CLEVELAND-- A Cleveland mom is facing felony child endangering charges for leaving two toddlers alone in a locked room, inside a home police say had no running water. The FOX 8 I-Team found the mother has been repeatedly monitored by Cuyahoga County social workers.

Cleveland child abuse investigators charged Danielle Moore.

This week, Cuyahoga County social workers said they got a tip on a hotline and called Cleveland police.

Investigators said they found two toddlers alone, locked in a room and malnourished. A police report outlined disgusting conditions in the home. Court records showed the children had been left alone at least three hours.

The county said child welfare workers have taken custody of the children.

The county monitored Moore and worked with her from 2011 to 2014. They also monitored her earlier this year after a neglect complaint.

The county said the mother had shown progress each time working through parenting programs.

Moore also has another child, who has been with a relative at the time of this arrest.

Moore gets a chance to start defending herself in court Friday morning.
