CLEVELAND- A Cleveland man accused of dozens of child pornography-related charges was sentenced to prison time on Tuesday.
Alberto Torres Jr., 36, pleaded guilty to 75 counts, including gross sexual imposition, voyeurism and pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor. Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Joseph Russo sentenced him to 15 years behind bars.
Torres was arrested in 2014 after the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force said they found child porn at his Cleveland home. According to the prosecutor’s office, Torres admitted he secretly recording juvenile girls using a bathroom and he had sexual contact with a minor.
“Not only did Alberto Torres trade child pornography online, but he also preyed upon innocent children in our community,” said Holly Welsh, Director of Prosecutions for the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Torres will also have to register as a Tier III sex offender for the rest of his life.
