CLEVELAND HEIGHTS – A Cleveland Heights woman is feeling lost; her dog has been missing for nearly a week. Jodie DiDonato is desperate to find Ducati. Her 3-year-old tan German Shepherd mix somehow got out of her outdoor cage last Friday. She was last seen in the area of Monticello and Cleveland Heights Blvd.
But, Ducati is more than Jodie’s pet. She is an emotional stability service dog. Family and friends have gone on Facebook and searched the neighborhood for Ducati – who has really been Jodie’s constant companion.
“I just have very, very high anxiety and depression and her being with me at all times and the affection that she gives really helps calm me down when I am upset,” she said.
DiDonato doesn’t even go to the store by herself. “I don’t like to be alone. And, to have her with me makes me feel way better,” she added.
Ducati is wearing a pink collar and a tag with Jodie’s name and number on it. Anyone who sees her or knows her whereabouts can also call Cleveland Heights police at (216) 291-4987.
Friends may also help with a reward for Ducati. “I had a few people offer like a monetary value to go towards the reward, but you can’t really put a price on her,” DiDonato added.
Jodie’s birthday is Tuesday and she said the best gift would be to get Ducati back.
