CLEVELAND – Some of the area’s “Top Cops” were on “special assignment” inside a Cleveland hospital Monday. Their mission: to spread some cheer.
Special agents with the Cleveland Division of the FBI partnered with A Special Wish Foundation to visit young patients at the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital.
They weren’t looking for any bad guys, just looking to put a smile on a child’s face. In addition to the bedside conversations, they gave the children a small teddy bear and some other special FBI gifts.
Paige Holm, 9, of Lorain got a blue bear with the word “strength” on it. “I like this one because I can carry it around and I can remember this day. And, it reminds me to have strength even when I am hurting or something,” she said.
The FBI agents spent several hours at the hospital and made visits to about thirty children. A Special Wish Foundation grants wishes of Cleveland area children, up to age 20, with life-threatening illnesses.
