AKRON, Ohio-- The Akron Public Schools have given the all clear for Ellet High School to reopen on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, workers continued to assess the damage done to Ellet High School in Akron after a weekend fire.

Firefighters were called to the school, located on Woolf Avenue, at about 11 p.m. Saturday. No one was injured, but there was extensive damage. Classes were canceled Monday and Tuesday.

The Akron Public Schools said crews are building containment walls around the damage so they can work while students attend class.

"We can accomplish two things at once this way, and not have to rush the cleanup repair or keep students out for an extended time," director of communications Mark Williamson said on Tuesday.
