INDEPENDENCE, Ohio — Officials with the City of Independence tell Fox 8 News that they have canceled their fireworks for Thursday evening.
According to Darlynn Velotta with the City of Independence, no immediate make-up date has been determined.
The office of Independence Mayor Gregory P. Kurtz tells Fox 8 News that the fireworks supply became wet due to the rain over the past two days.
City officials did not feel comfortable using the fireworks not knowing how they would fire after becoming saturated.
