A new tamandua baby makes the Cincinnati Zoo’s holiday bright! ✨💓 Mom Isla welcomed a baby in the wee morning hours on December 20. Labor was quick and mom & pup, sex and name to be determined, are doing great and bonding in the Zoo’s Animal Ambassador Center (AAC). #closeenoughtocare #cincinnatizoo #cincinnati #christmaseve
The baby was born December 20.
The zoo has been documenting mom Isla’s pregnancy journey.
They posted a video of her getting an ultrasound just last month.
Mom and baby are doing just fine.
