AUSTRALIA-Terrifying moments when a stroller toppled onto trains tracks at a station in Melbourne, Australia.

The chilling video shows a woman, believed to be the boy's mother, let go of the stroller for a matter of seconds as she picked something off the floor when the stroller rolls over the platform edge and lands on the tracks.

The incident happened Saturday afternoon.

The woman frantically jumped onto the rail line to retrieve the stroller and the child.

Miraculously, the baby escaped the fall with only minor injuries.

Moments later, bystanders jumped onto the tracks to help, preventing a potential tragedy.

One of the Good Samaritans who rushed to the woman's aid was David Phillips.

He spoke to Seven's Sunrise on Wednesday morning saying he was at the station waiting for a train during his lunch break when the incident unfolded.

"She (the child's mother) bent down to pick something up she had dropped and let go of the pram. That's when I started running from the other side of the platform," he said.

Security vision has captured the moment the baby's stroller rolls onto train tracks at Camberwell Station.

"I knew I had a minute before my train was due. I knew nothing was coming in on the other platform, so I just bolted.

"I'd do it again in a heartbeat. My main concern was the child's welfare."
