Child Found in Marijuana-Filled Home

AKRON, Ohio — A child was discovered on Tuesday in a home during a marijuana grow operation bust in Akron.

The Summit County Drug Unit initiated an investigation after receiving a tip about a drug-filled house on Johnson Street.

Agents searched the residence and found 68 marijuana plants, six pounds of marijuana, lamps, filters, two handguns and two shotguns.

Officials contacted the Summit County Children’s Services after locating a 4-year-old child in the home.

Charges are pending in the investigation.
