CLEVELAND -- There will be no shortage of sweets in Cleveland next weekend, when pastry chefs from all over Northeast Ohio will battle each other to benefit a good cause.

Former White House chef Ronald Mesnier, who prepared food for five U.S. presidents, will even be on hand at the Creative Confections Dessert Competition, which benefits The Art Therapy Studio.

Event planners and pastry chef Michael Feigenbaum were in the Fox8 studios Saturday morning, sampling just a few of the sweet treats participants will serve up.

Chefs will be judged on awards like Best of Show, Most Decadently Delicious and Most Artistic.

"It's a place where many of my colleagues and people from schools are able to stretch their creative juices," said Feigenbaum. "They can kind of go crazy and make a one-of-a-kind piece of art."

A ticket buys unlimited sampling of their art, which will include pastries and appetizers, throughout the night. Plus, the money made from the tickets goes to a good cause.

The Art Therapy Studio promotes healing through art, and works with several area hospitals and medical facilties. Last year's event brought in over $30,000.

The event will be held at the Bohemian National Hall and begins at 7 p.m. Oct. 13.
