CLEVELAND, Ohio– Despite a huge social media call for “Major League” actor Charlie Sheen to throw out the first pitch of the World Series, sources tell FOX 8, it will not happen.

Instead, baseball greats will do it.

Sheen, who played “Wild Thing” in two “Major League” movies, responded Thursday and said he would be honored to do it if he was asked.

The movie series follows the misfit Cleveland Indians and their postseason push.

The Cleveland Indians advanced to the World Series on Wednesday after beating the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 5 of the ALCS.

Game 1 of the World Series is Tuesday, Oct. 25.  You can catch all the World Series action only on FOX 8.
