AKRON, Ohio — One of the survivors of the Chardon High School shooting rallied Wednesday to keep guns out of the wrong hands.

The event was part of a 25-state bus tour called “No More Names: National Drive to Reduce Gun Violence.”

Local mayors Don Plusquellic (Akron), Brad Sellers (Warrensville Heights) and various council members took part.

Nick Walczak was also there.

Walczak was paralyzed when a classmate opened fire inside his school.

Killed in the February 2012 rampage were Danny Parmertor, 16; Demetrius Hewlin, 16; and Russell King, Jr., 17.

Another student was wounded and one was grazed by a bullet.

At the rally, Walczak and local leaders called for comprehensive background checks.
