2 dead, 1 in custody after double homicide
Two people are dead, and a man is in custody after an early-morning shooting in Hinckley. Police found two people dead in a home on Babcock Road. They took a third person into custody for questioning, but no charges have been filed. A neighbor says that two brothers and a sister lived at the home and so does the woman’s boyfriend or husband. The incident is still under investigation.

Johnny Manziel’s father worried for son, says he needs help
Johnny Manziel‘s dad said he’s worried if his son doesn’t receive help, he won’t make it to his next birthday. In an interview Friday with Dallas Morning News, Paul Manziel said, “I truly believe if they can’t get him help, he won’t live to see his 24th birthday.” This comes after more details were released Thursday about an incident involving Manziel and his girlfriend in Fort Worth, Texas.

Obama fights for credit as unemployment rate hits new low
The U.S. unemployment rate dropped Friday to its lowest rate since February 2008. Thursday, President Barack Obama compared himself to Golden State Warriors’ assistant coach Luke Walton, who led the NBA team to a stunning winning streak after temporarily taking over as interim head coach. “You defied the cynics, you accomplished big things, racked up a great record. And you don’t get enough credit,” Obama said. “I can’t imagine how that feels.”

BMX legend Dave Mirra dead in apparent suicide
Dave Mirra, whose dazzling aerial flips and tricks made him a legend in freestyle BMX and one of the most successful competitors in X Games history, died Thursday of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, police in North Carolina said. He was 41. Mirra’s body was found in a truck in his hometown of Greenville, North Carolina, about 4 p.m. Thursday, shortly after he visited friends in the area.
