CLEVELAND — Three dogs removed from Ariel Castro’s Seymour Avenue home earlier this month have found a foster home.
According to the Cleveland Division of Animal Control Services, officers found the dogs — two terrier mixes and a chihuahua — inside Castro’s home on the day that Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight were rescued.
Although initially taken to the pound, the dogs were picked up on Tuesday by an unnamed animal rescue group. They’ll stay there until the three women decide if they want to keep them, an animal control officer told Fox 8 News.
Meanwhile, Castro, 52, is being held on an $8 million bond on charges of kidnapping and rape. He’s accused of kidnapping the three women and holding them captive for a decade.
