CHESTERLAND, OH — For the third time in two years, a car slammed into the post office on Chillicothe Road in Chesterland Friday afternoon.
Officials say one clerk and five customers were inside at the time when the SUV hit the building. No one was injured. Authorities say 20 gallons of gasoline from the SUV spilled on to the property.
The last time a vehicle hit the building was in August; one of the windows damaged in that incident had yet to be replaced before Friday’s crash.
Officials say the facility will be closed Saturday. If customers have a P.O. Box at the post office and would like to pick up their mail, they are asked to come to the side door or the back door.
Authorities did not release any information on the driver.
