CLEVELAND (WJW) — All occupants are safe after a car went into the Cuyahoga River Friday night.

Cleveland police say the incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. near Riverbed Street and Elm Avenue in the west bank of the Flats.

The two men in the vehicle made it out.

EMS, Cleveland fire and the Coast Guard assisted with the situation.

Police say the matter remains under investigation.
