AVON, Ohio — An accident during the Wednesday morning commute caused a car to get ‘entangled’ in a tractor trailer.

The City of Avon Police Department confirmed the accident happened just after 7 a.m. on SR 611 between Chester Road and I-90 in Avon.

A man and a woman in the car were initially trapped but freed by the Avon Fire Department.

The westbound lanes of SR 611 and Chester Road between Moore Road and SR 611 were closed for about three hours after the crash.
