MANSFIELD, Ohio — Troopers said “impaired driving is a suspected factor” after a car crashed into a Burger King in Mansfield Thursday night.

In a news release early Friday, Ohio State Highway Patrol said the incident happened on Ashland Road around 9 p.m.

According to OSHP, a 76-year-old Mansfield man was driving the SUV when it went off the road, over an enbankment, and crashed into the dining room of the fast food restaurant.

The driver, who has not been charged, was taken to Ohio Health Mansfield to be treated for injuries.

Nobody inside the restaurant was hurt, OSHP said.

OSHP said the crash remains under investigation and the driver could be charged depending on the outcome.
