Canton man who admitted to shooting wife charged with murder

CANTON, Ohio — Authorities say they  have filed a murder charge against a man who  walked into the Canton police department and confessed that he shot his wife.

Police say Jessie O. McCroskey, 36,  reported the shooting to them early Saturday morning. Emergency responders took 40-year-old Pebbles McCroskey from her home to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead that evening.

After charging him with felonious assault and weapons charges, authorities also filed a murder charge against the Canton man on Tuesday.
